Our RawBar has been named the city’s first 100 per cent Ocean Wise sushi destination by the Vancouver Aquarium. Determined to make only responsible and sustainable seafood choices, our culinary team creatively sources only the best of Ocean Wise-recommended seafood found locally and around the Pacific Rim.
Open from lunch ‘til late, our RawBar bar features signature items, donburi bowls and bento boxes. The team also recommends ‘Omakase’ (chef’s choice) – a ‘surprise and delight’ element that enables the chefs to create a unique presentation which can include daily features, new items or foodie favourites. Since our sushi bar made its debut in 2013, it has been become renowned for its innovative presentation and quality of ingredients – a must-dine for the sushi-savvy.
Our very own in house sushi-chef, Chef Taka’s dedication, precision, and passion best describe his amassed talent. Traveling back and forth to Japan for culinary inspiration and of course family visits, Taka brings a laser-sharp culinary focus to The RawBar at the Lobby Lounge.
A born and raised Vancouverite, Sean is The Lobby Lounge’s resident gin-slinging barman. He’s competed in myriad cocktailer competitions, most notably the Havana Club Grand Prix in Cuba. And is a lover of Euro and South Asian travel, to boot. Fun fact: if you need creative services or an interactive website built, Sean’s your guy.
This Aussie hailing from Melbourne is a kingpin of the global cocktail scene. Named World-Class Canadian Bartender of the Year in 2014, and Vancouver’s best bartender, his cocktailing has taken him everywhere from South Africa to Amsterdam. When not catching waves or shaking things up abroad, he’s taking the Pac Rim beverage program to incredible new heights.
